Join us for an engaging musical evening featuring the Friday Concert Series - Young Artist Piano Series presented by St. Johannes Lutheran Church and Dr. Margaret "Happy" Byrd from The School of the Arts.

This special three-part series aims to celebrate the outstanding musical talents of local high school students. These concerts are open to the public and require no tickets for entry. The primary goal is to provide these young artists with a platform to showcase their abilities and to support their musical journeys with modest scholarships.

Featured Young Artists on October 20th: Miranda Reed and Daniel Stroman

Miranda Reed: In her senior and 7th year at the School of the Arts, Miranda has been studying piano privately since the age of 7 with Barbara Manaker, currently with Sarah Shayban, as well as organ with Julia Harlow. She has earned Outstanding ratings in District and State Auditions, awards in Achievement Day since the age of 9, enjoys participating in many other competitions and plans to be a college music major.

Daniel Stroman:  In his junior year at the School of the Arts, Daniel has studied piano for about 5 years, currently with renowned pianist, Dr. Nicholas Susi at USC. Last spring, he received an Outstanding at MTNA District Auditions, advanced to State, and also performed at the Charleston Music Teachers Achievement Day Honors Recital.
