Event Details: Young Artist Piano Series

Join us for an engaging musical evening featuring the Friday Concert Series - Young Artist Piano Series presented by St. Johannes Lutheran Church and Dr. Margaret "Happy" Byrd from The School of the Arts.

This special three-part series aims to celebrate the outstanding musical talents of local high school students. These concerts are open to the public and require no tickets for entry. The primary goal is to provide these young artists with a platform to showcase their abilities and to support their musical journeys with modest scholarships.

Featured Young Artists on October 6th: Estee Yu and Jovanny Vilasquez

Estee Yu:  Estee is a 10th grade piano major at the School of the Arts, has been playing for almost nine years, and studies privately with Inga Agrest. Piano is a great passion for her and she has enjoyed participating in numerous competitions, events, and ensemble recitals over the past years, earning an Outstanding at District Auditions, and Honorable Mention at SCMTA State Auditions last spring.

Jovanny Silva-Velasquez:  a senior at the School of the Arts, has been playing piano since he was 7 years old. He has had a great affinity for jazz for as long as he can remember and likes to take every opportunity that he can get to express his passion, and demonstrate to others the beauty of jazz.

We cordially invite you to this remarkable musical event celebrating the achievements and the vibrant talents of Estee Yu and Jovanny Silva-Velasquez. Your presence will contribute to their artistic journey and growth. Thank you.
