Enjoy a guided tour through one of Charleston's oldest and best-preserved church buildings. Constructed by German immigrants in 1841, generations of Charlestonians have been baptized, confirmed, and married in the resonant space. There is so much history here, including the story of a Civil War cannonball that was embedded into the roof.

Come for the tour and stay for our semi-annual Tea Room from 2:30 pm-5:30 pm, where we serve delicious tea and desserts for patrons, a Charleston tradition.

You can enter the building to the left of the 48 Hasell St front doors (you'll see a smaller iron gate). Follow the pathway/alley on the left of the church and follow the Restroom signs to Gatch Hall.
